Career history: Jean-Marie Descarpentries, former partner at MicKinsey, has been a senior executive of some of Europe’s major industrial groups (Shell (France), Danone Benelux), St Gobain (Spain/Portugal), Interbrew (Belgium), Ingenico (France)). From 1982 to 1991, he was CEO of Carnaud Metalbox, then from 1994 to 1997, he was CEO of Bull, and was responsible for turning the company around and its privatisation.
