Career history: Urs Schneider spent two years at LEICA, Heerbrugg, before joining the IMI/IMD (International Management Institute), Lausanne, where he held different positions from 1971 to 1984, including Administrative Director and Director of the MBA programme. He was Director of the IFCI/FRI Foundation - International Financial Risk Institute from 1985 to 2004. From 1989 to 2012, he was a member of the academic staff of the Swiss Finance Institute and, from 2006 to 2011 he taught international finance and risk management at the International University, Geneva.
